MY FIRST VISITOR

After a few months I had my first visitor; my wife. Tammy arrived in Kuwait about 2 hours late, as her flight was delayed for mechanical reasons in Washington.

She arrived safe but very tired. The flight which was over 12 hours long, was not the best experience. She will fly upgraded back home, which hopefully will be a much better trip.

It was very nice see my wife. She cooked about 3 or 4 times, so that was nice coming home.

After her arrival, we drove the 40 minute ride back to my apartment.

The next morning we went to the Sultan center, a shopping area and had a nice breakfast.

We drove around the city and went to several malls. As I said before, they mostly shop and eat here.

We drove into the city and stopped at the Radisson Blu to have lunch. There is a large boat out front , and we ate lunch beneath it.

We continued our drive towards the city and stopped at the Kuwait towers. They were not open, but Tammy was able to take a few pictures.

We continued along Gulf road and stopped at a park. The Kuwait Liberation Day is the 25-26th of February, so everyone is out and flying these huge kites.

The next night we went to dinner with one of the guys that works with me and his fiance. He is from upstate New York, and she is from Russia. They are engaged and getting married soon. A very nice girl.

We had a great time and a restaurant called Divas, overlooking the gulf.

The next night we went back down to the Sultan center, to get some grocery's.

We had a great dinner for Valentines day at a nice indian restaurant at the marina Mall.

Our waiting gave us a cake...really good.

Caraway seeds and rock candy for after dinner.

We also went to the Friday market, a huge thrift sale. They have verything you can imagine and it cover acres of area.

It was a sad day when Tammy left. Here are some abandoned cars at the airport we saw.
